1988 911 Center Caps (Grand Prix White) - What's the right crest color combination

I am looking to paint my center caps over the holidays. A little downtime with whiskey in hand and paint brush in the other! My Fuchs are grand prix white but the logo coloring is a little confusing. I am not sure if this is the handywork of previous owners (who got the logo wrong) or if this is how it left the factory? From the pic you will see the Porsche header background is black, the stripes that are usually black are red - reversed from the original logo etc. Any thoughts on whether this is genuine and I should repaint as it is, or whether I should repaint to represent the standard color combinations? I have searched net but can't seem to find an accurate factory representation of Grand Prix White center caps. ( photo attached. My Center Cap. Thanks in advance Jon

I bought my Grand Prix White '88 Carrera in April of this year so I don't claim to be an expert by any means, but here is a pic of the center caps on my car. Don't know if this helps or if it's the authentic color scheme. Maybe others more knowledgeable will add some comments.

Looks good! Yeah this seems to be the standard way of painting. May be difficult on mine with painting over the black!

The factory supplied center caps on the GP white wheels were simply painted solid white.
Any painted crest found on the center caps is the handiwork of the owner or an aftermarket vendor.

Ok thanks. Interesting! so this means the logo on mine is incorrect and should be changed to match Iowa-p's car above? Or has anybody ever seen the logo reversed out like on mine? White stripes etc.

I have 88 GPW and when Weidman brought back to stock, he kept the center caps white. I think the painted logo is a bit overkill
