Cruise control installation

Sorry, I just posted this in "classifieds" had a late night. Has anyone ever installed a factory cruise control in their car. This would be for a 1989 Carrera. Degree of difficulty? Cost?
Thanks!

I would have left it in my 87 if I could have found the Bowden cable, ( from the actuator to the throttle #911 617 124 04) but several places told me it had been NLA for a long time. So I removed everything and put it in a box.
I suppose you guys have this part.
I also never did see the switches that must be by the clutch and brake pedals, I guess the PO had them removed.
Reinstalling the parts in the engine compartment is easy and straight forward, as long as wires haven`t been cut.
The computer is under the radio with its multipin plug, and of course the switches and relay in the fusebox.
Post some pics of what you got.

Thanks
I don't have any parts but now a bit better understanding, thanks.
. I would like to start with the entire parts list for the system and begin researching availability. Like you said, it may not be feasible due to obsolete parts.
