CV Boots trashed

I purchased new axles (complete) two years ago and already the CV boots are trashed.

Three of the 4 are split badly.

The boots are cheap but I don't want to change them every two years

Any suggestions?

All Pelican parts.

Talk to Pelican maybe they have had some similar problems and they can help you out?

Most likely, seeing as that's what is listed on the parts page.

They don't actually have GKN written on them.

Normally an OEM part would be of sound quality but stuff happens.

For a replacement boot kit the other choice is Empi, whoever that is.

Anyone have experience with these?

Its a wide shot, but is it possible that your suspension is a fair bit out of stock spec? I had a relatively new (17K) boot get a rip at the same time as the suspension on that wheel got out of wack.

I had one of these rip after 2 years ( maybe 10-12k miles) can't rule out that something hit it, but i don't think so.
Guess they don't make rubber like they used to.

they should last a lot longer than that

my bet is that the "rubber" uses Chinese drywall as a filler; VW parts are often crap like this

the German parts companies are getting things made in Brazil, Mexico, and China and then slapping their name on the box
