930 Transmission Fluid Capacity

Last night I filled my 930's transmission with Swepco.
I poured an entire 4 quarts into the transmission.

I was told it only held 3.x quarts, and that I should fill it until it starts overflowing out of the filler hole.

But I emptied the entire gallon, and it never overflowed the filler hole.

Do I need more fluid?

Brian

Just fill it until it starts sipping out from the fill-hole...make sure your car is perfectly horizontal.

My factory repair manuals state that 930 transaxle will take 3.7 liters of GL-5 oil...is that's around four quarts (?)...just buy one more bottle and top it off...

Yeah, that's the hard part. I've got 3 days until my next track event and it will take me that long to order the stuff and get it delivered.

See my previous post regarding this. Also, you need to make sure it is on level ground when checking the fluid level. Leave the fill hole open and lower the car if you need to, but the gallon is too much!
