A/C delete foot board question
 

85 ROW 3.2 RHD Drive Car

I have just removed the a/c compressor (or is it condensor) from behind the p/x foot board. Can I now use the non a/c footboard to give the px more foot room?

It was a tough decision to remove a/c, but now I know how heavy it all is I feel a lot better.

The evaporator you mean? You want to have your passenger put their feet in the little hole? Otherwise, why would you remove it in regards to interior space?

You realise it's RHD?
You can use whatever you like to give your passenger more room!

Well then that's even more confusing. RHD cars have a much tighter pedal area I imagine. I would disagree with the "use whatever you like" statement though. I think the front bulkhead is rather fixed.

The same fb is used A/C or non...I suspect you're looking at some aftermarket A/C product.

RHD drive cars the evaportor is behind the foot board on the px side. If you look at rennline for RHD cars there are two boards. One with a/c and one without.

I want to set the board further towards the front of the car to give more room (now the evaportator isnt in the way).

Can this be done?

there is no real reason to put the wooden floorboard back in place if you choose not to.

Can you demonstrate with pictures or diagrams where the space savings would be?

The piece of wood has no buffer towards the front, correct? It sits on the metal tub in some tabs held in place with a screw/grommet/washer/spacer thing.

The hole can open up for a six year old's little tiny feet.
