Fikse FM5 Centre caps with Porsche crest?

I recently got my first 911, and the car came with a set of Fikse FM5 wheels on it. The PO bought them and discarded the originals when he upgraded to "Big Red" brakes.

Anyways, I eventually want to get some Fuchs that will clear the brakes(if thats even possible) but in the meantime, I want to try and find some Porsche crested centre caps to fit these wheels.

I emailed Fikse, but got no response, so I am wondering if any fellow pelicans have found something that worked? I am also planning to remove and powder coat,or anodize the centres black to get closer to the original look.

The 911 to me is one of the only cars not flattered by aftermarket wheels,so as much as I appreciate the quality of the Fikse, I'm afraid I will never be in love with the look, but the right centre caps is a start!!

Thanks

Personally I'd stick with those 17" Fikse wheels and just paint/powdercoat them black, maybe even fully black. Dark wheels look good on a lighter colored car, fully polished wheels not so much. What are they 17x7.5/9? The back tire looks a little small, maybe it's just the pic though, what size is it?

Sorry though I don't know what to tell you about the center caps. Maybe you'll feel different after the wheels are painted? Maybe you could have Porsche crests custom hand-painted on the center caps after they're painted black?

Google "Ralph Boothe Designs" - he makes several styles of Porsche center caps that will fit Fikse wheels. They are much nicer than the OEM Porsche crested caps.

They are 8's and9's. tires are 225/255.

While we are at it, does anyone know if a 16" Fuchs will work with Big Red brakes?

I believe only the 951 Fuchs have enough clearance for big reds, and 911 Fuchs do not.

I use Fuchs center caps on my fm5s. I put a dab of rtv in three spots push them in an wipe off the excess. I let the rtv set up before I drive it and have not lost a cap in eight years.

Thats great news!!! Can you tell me how to distinguish between a 951 Fuch, and a 911Fuch?

Would this only be in a 16", or 15" as well?

Thanks!

Shop for 16" performance tires - then decide if you want to keep the FM5's - my guess is yes.

and the only fuchs that will fit over "big brakes" and I am talking the 993 version would be both the 951 part number 7" and 8" fuchs.

If they are real "Big Brakes" based on the 965 Turbo - then depending on the caliper adapter and rotor - they probably will not fit unless a spacer is used on the wheels

If those were my wheels - I think I'd be inclined to take them apart, anodize the centers black - then see how much I liked them.

I have not been able to figure out exactly what the brakes are. I have the invoice from the PO for just shy of $6k, but the part number is no longer any good on the Brembo site, and the invoice just says "Brembo Big Red GTP2"

I hear what you are saying about the 16" tires, this is what I was thinking
