A Father, A Son and A 72T (build)
Hello all,
My name is Alexander and I just wanted to share a neat little story about how I acquired my first 911 and the current build. Growing up I never really had an interest in any kind of sport. My dad put me baseball, football, basketball and swimming; unfortunately nothing ever stuck. The two things I remember about when I was a kid was my dad's 73 Targa (Nelly) sitting in the garage and also going to the 12 hours Sebring. My dream was to own an early 911. Finally the day came, May 1, 2006 I turned 16. Luckily enough my present was a 1993 968. I felt as if my dad gave me wings. I finally could release my urge to drive. Within the next months I was at the autocross and drivers education. Years have passed, and I still had that flat 6 humming in my head. I was on the hunt. After searching and searching a 911 fell in my lap. Now Gene from ******** helped my dad out with his first 911 (Nelly) way back when my dad used to work for him. About 2 years ago, Gene called up my dad and said "hey I got a 72t that I'm looking to get rid of and I know your son has been looking for one".I purchased and shipped my 911 from New Jersey down here to West Palm Beach, FL.In the end, my dad and I both got our first 911's from the same person. Anxiously waiting at my Dad's shop ******** South. This is what I bought.  Yea. I know.  80's sunroof.  Well she is mine. I named her Daisy. After a little work.  So what I got is a 72T with a 2.4 engine and a 901 tranny. Oh... and I got a custom sunroof. The reason why I named her Daisy is because her original color is the beautiful Signal yellow. My plan is to fix the dreadful sunroof and build one badass hot rod.

Going through body/paint. She had a decent amount of rust on her, mainly in the rear seats and rear shelf. Sheet metal guys at the shop took care of it.

Congratulations Alex. If you are speaking about Gene K. from ******** he is a great guy. He has helped me with a bunch of stuff over the past 3 years. Bought my racer from a customer of his and he has supported me with his knowledge and hard to find parts.
