Fuchs 8s on my 3.2?

I have 6s and 7s (16") Fuchs on my 87 coupe. I have access to a pair of 8s.
Can I use 6s and 8s, or 7s and 8s on my car? What is best?
Also, what should I pay for the 8s (they're real)?

So: Optimum? and price?

Thanks

I'm running 7's with 205 16s on the front and 8's on the rear. I had to role the front fender lip to clear probably because the car is lowered from stock. As to price I have no idea. I bought my 8's many years ago.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1371246276.jpg

Make sure the 8's are 911/930 8's, not 944turbo 8's--if you want the deep dish look
they'll still fit, but the wider outer lips are only on the 911/930 8's.
My set up: 16x8 and 16x7
price? I'd pay anything under $1500/pr if they're in good condition. 8's and 9's are always rare, so grab 'em while you can:)

I'd use 7ET23.3 front these are the wheels that came oe on the back, just swap to 205/ tires, it can still be close depending on height and setup you will probably have to roll or trim the lips. There are 944 7's wheels that have the same ET and could also be used they just provide more brake clearance. The 911 8ET10.6 can't be used on the front of a n/b 911, the 944 8ET23.3 has been fitted but is way harder to fit than the 7.

In back you can use 8ET10.6 911 Fuchs or 9ET15 930 Fuchs, I much prefer the 9s. If you try to use the 944 8ET23.3 you will have to add spacers

Wow another GAURDS RED picture thread!!!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1371323184.jpg
Oh it's a wheel thread LOL. No really I just did what your asking I put 7 up front and 8s in the back. Only problem is the front rub I have to roll the front fenders. Is there anyone running with 6 and 8s ??

I'm running 7 and 8 x15 on my 87 Carrera Targa. Lowered to Euro heights.
My front tires are 205/60-15 and rears are 225/60-15 Kumho ASX All Season.
I have put about 6k miles on them and very happy with them.
Next time I would get 225/55/-15 for the rear, a little less sidewall !!!

No rubbing front or rear, even could use a 10mm spacer on the rear to fill out the fenders.

How can 8/9s be rare when you can still order them brand new from Porsche?

If you are moving from 6" to 7" on the front do roll the (inner section of) the fenders. It is very common for the leftside (why? always..) to dig into the tire on the tight turn. I own 9" rears, but think the 8" are more practical (vintage racing, tire size avail.) and only the savvy can tell the diff. from 5 paces. I set my car up Street so fairly vertical wheels and nice fill in the wells.

If you are handy, you can hit a chrome shop and strip the wheels, refinishing them on your own if need be.
