"Unmolested"...really?

Unmolested? Well, yeah, except for the body, engine and tranny.

Porsche 911 Turbo Look 3.2 G50

And if this car belongs to a Pelican, I truly mean no offense... I respect hard work.

tirwin 06-14-2013 06:29 PM

Yea, well I don't mean any disrespect either but modifying a '72 Targa longhood... well, to each his own I guess. My next goal is to build a '72 hotrod. I just love the lines on the early cars and I see no reason to modernize them.

964TargaC2 06-14-2013 06:37 PM

I am trying to like it but there is something about it that just wont let me.

James Brown 06-14-2013 06:47 PM

can't think of any part unmolested. this car just reenforces my dislike for cabs and targas. Ya think the did some bracing or just cut off the targa bar?

pete3799 06-14-2013 07:06 PM

Unmolested, in this case, means he didn't have sex with it.........i think.

LOL, yes - that has to be it. Good call!

RSBob 06-14-2013 07:37 PM

Aren't those turbo twist wheels? So doesn't that does make it a turbo twister?

Ronnie's.930 06-14-2013 08:23 PM

I just sent that bozo an email asking which is it - highly modified or "unmolested" - ha!

georgew123 06-15-2013 05:51 AM

That, or to him it's just a feel good catch phrase he liked the sound of and thought that he would hijack it.

unmolested - definition of unmolested by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

Maybe he meant to say "molested"?

Good old Porsche owners eliteism.

How's the air up there guys ?

redstrosekNic 06-15-2013 06:21 AM

I like the video of the seller beating up the car.

Which video?

I watched the first one, starts right up and sounds pretty good. Looks better than my car, so I'll just shut up and let someone buy the thing.

The grammar police have had their day, and a good laugh was had.

How is poking fun at someone who does not know what he is talking about "Porsche owner elitism"? If I was fool enough to say that a heavily modified car was "unmolested", I would expect to be hammered on (deservedly so)!

And that goes for any car. Porsche or not.

There is another video of him doing a burnout on the craigslist ad.

There is not substitute for the unmolested.

450knotOffice 06-15-2013 10:20 AM

Not exactly a burnout. That's a max performance launch on what sounds like a slippery surface.

Unmolested was a poor choice of words, but maybe English is not his first language. For the most part, it looks like he's trying to be forthcoming in his add.

Also, if I were a betting man, I'd say this car is but another example of the many longhoods that were converted to the later look in the 70's and 80's. It was common in those days. The early cars were mostly just thought of as old, dated, and tired in those days.

You guys are a tough crowd. Elitist DOES come to mind.

jluetjen 06-15-2013 10:47 AM

It took Porsche 20 years to convert a Targa into a convertable -- mostly because they had to figure out how to reinforce the car so that it wouldn't flex -- especially when driven hard. I wonder how many of those reinforcements were done to this car?

911Freak 06-15-2013 11:56 AM

Personally, your car do with it what you want.... Just be accurate in your descriptions...

This 911 still has a lot of potential going for it, such as
Weld a coupe roof on
Correct it back to long nose, keeping wide fenders
Put a duck tail on it
Toss the twist wheels and put some RSR Fuchs or 17" faux
Paint it orange with black Carrera scrips

What do you get?

'72 with a 3.2 and G50 - long nose wide a$$ RSR'sh hot rod!

The coup d'gras - drop a Rothsport 3.8 slide valve monster in it and call it done! :p

To each his own. :)

Matt Monson 06-15-2013 12:48 PM

I'm with 911freak. I recently very seriously considered buying a '69S that had a full turbo body conversion on it. The ONLY reason I didn't buy that car was because it has been clipped across the gas tank and had the 930 front end grafted on the front 20% of the chassis. Some other Pelican got it and maybe it will pop up at some point.

If I bought this '72, I would return it to targa, longnose front end and bumpers and paint it blue, like Roger Penkse's special order Carrera RS Targa one of a kind. For a street rod I'd be happy with a targa.

Feigelein was a senior officer married to Eva Braun's sister. He was the head of the SS.

Given it's Hitler's girlfriend's sister's husband who has the Porsche it adds an even funnier (turbo) twist to the whole parody.

These guys suck. They won't even drop a deuce without using German toilet paper.

...this.

....or....

I've seen some backdated G50 Speedsters that look pretty hot. Maybe head that direction with this. Return it to a longhood, but keep it wide body...could be a pretty sweet cab. If you like that kind of thing....

Definitely not a "goner" here.
