You may want to consider building your own, that's what I did, along with an RS style rear seat delete. I don't have a tubing bender, so what I did was mock up the rollbar using conduit, then took that to one of the NHRA cage builders here and had them bend the same shapes using 1-3/4 DOM tubing. Brought it all back and tack welded it, tested it for fit and then MIG and TIG welded it. If you don't weld the NHRA shops will weld it for you also.

I bolted mine in 4 places, using 3 bolts in each front mount, and 2 bolts in each rear mount. Both front and rear I used the seat belt bolts plus additional bolts.

Then I had the whole thing powder coated.

You said Hot Rod.

I purchased my street roll bar from autopower industries. Before installation I sent it out and had it chrome plated. Its a hot rod detail that brings more attention to the pipes.
For me it was also a way to continue with a theme. All black with subtle touches of chrome.

Thanks! No, I didn't document the build and I need to get more pictures. Basically I removed the rear seats and bolted 6x9 'wedge' speaker enclosures to the seat areas; this allowed a rear shelf to sit level from the top of the speaker boxes to the flat area where the seats met the firewall. You can just barely see the front lip of the shelf between the seats.

Covered it all with RS carpeting, cutting out holes where the rollbar connects to the rear seat belt bolts.

Per your request for a period roll-bar for a 73, talk to Dave at TRE. They can build to suit very reasonably.

Here is my 'Club Sport 2' from them. The hoop replicates the 'ST' hoop shape common in the late 60's, early 70's. I wanted the horizontal bar for my harnesses...had to opt for some safety over looks on this one.
