PET 6 and Windows 7/8
I just discovered that PET 6 will not install on a Windows 7 (64 bit) o/s. I have ordered a new computer with Win 8, and I assume it will not install on that either.
Is there a registry fix to get PET to install in Win 7/8? I had the same issue many years ago installing the Audi parts program in Win 98, but a bit of registry twiddling fixed it.

Is the PET 6 a 16-bit application? If so, it will not run on a 64-bit OS. I believe a 32-bit app can run via some compatiblity settings on a 64-bit OS, but trying to use a 16-bit app will result in loss of data.

It installs fine on Win XP, which is a 32 bit o/s. I will check that link on 32 bit compatibility settings within 64 bit Win o/s. Thanks
