Up and Running - Update

Hey guys,

Well my first day off after picking up the car went GREAT. Picked it up on Wednesday night and drove home with the biggest grin on my face. I can't tell you all what a feeling of joy, relief and excitement I had driving home after all the work that's been done on the car. The engine runs great so far, a little rough while cold but not bad. Nice and strong and still no smoke, even after sucking the oil in during the first engine install. Transmission is still balky when shifting but it's only got about 75 miles on it so far and is smoothing out the more I drive it. I'm leaving after I write this to drive around some more today, probably run down to the Porsche dealer and grab a window switch or two as the damn windows won't work, but hey I don't care. The brakes work great and the new tires really make a difference, it's almost like a new car. While I can't say that it's been worth the wait 5 minutes into driving it and a lot of the frustration was gone. I must be neurotic though as I'm already making a list of the small repirs and parts I need to replace, what the H$LL is wrong with me? I laughed last night when I stopped and picked up my girlfriend for a ride. We were driving along and she says " If I didn't know better I'd say by that smile on your face you're cheatin' on me". I guess that says it all.
