Interesting NUMBERS...

1988 Carrera, no rear condenser cooling fans installed.

Engine idling at ~900 RPM, engine lid fully closed, A/C off, Kestrel 4000 windspeed, ft/m.

Measured at three points across the rear inlet area, center, left, right

Average was ~100 ft/m consistently higher, ~110 ft/m, on right, passenger side.

Lifted passenger side heat control just enough to start the engine mounted heater blower.

Average was now ~200 ft/m, ~220 ft/m passenger side.

Wow, looks as if Bob Tindel was on to something serious.
