sevens on my early narrow car!

sevens on early cars

Some said it would work, some say it would'nt. Some cars would rub on one side, some would roll their fenders etc etc... its been on the board over and over again.

The tires are 205 55 16 all around , and have yet to rub. Must be because my car is too high in the rear!

Wait 'till you hit a big dip. A good friend's 76 targa has blisters on the paint where the tire rubs. I don't know why he doesn't do something about it.

rub!

I went for a ride last nite with my Uncle, and with him in the car I had a quick rub while cornering hard. Luckily, no mark was placed in my s02's.

It was the passenger side. Bummer.

7X15" all around, 195/65 tires. Torsion bars, 23/28. Sway bars 19mm, AND rear fenders rolled. All done mid 1970's. If I could take it all back, would I? Probably not...I like the way the 7's look...

the 15x7's look more period than the 16's, but i'd like to get a set of 16's as a spare set to go with my stock 15x6's. i noticed the lip on the rear of Reg's wheels are 1 inch wider. can i assume they're 6's on front and 7's on rear? if i had 6&7's i'd have 215's on the rear and 205's on front. just a tad wider on back.

love the early cars

Raymond? You mean a purity of line that just isn't there in the new fangled '74 and up models? Reg, love your T! MY first 911 was a '70T...many fond memories.

PWD, please note i'd keep the original wheels for when i'm feeling nostalgic. actually i'd probably leave the stockers on 80%of the time...
