MFI pump adjustment

Which fastener(s) does on have to loosen to align the FE and timing mark on the MFI pump. A picture would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think I have a picture on my home PC, I'll check later tonight if I remember.

Basically there are 3 5mm allen head screws on the face of the sprocket. You'll need a mirror to help you do this, and you might have to cut down the allen wrench you use to clear the body of the car. My pulley was frozen and I had to remove the pump to get it off.

I have posted this once before but here it is. You can see two of the allen screws, the third is hidden by the shaft.

Jeff,
I am amazed at the amount of wear on your gear, I don't remember mine looking anything like that when it was torn down for rebuild.
Was that pic taken during an engine rebuild? ~ how many years/miles at the time?? Thanks.

Bill -

Believe it or not that gear is still on the car and it works fine! I was too cheap to buy another one ($100?). I plan to wait until this one is so bad it slips or change it next time I swap MFI pumps.

I had the pump off the car for inspection a few months ago when I took that photo. I don't know how many miles are on it as this engine is not the original and I have no history on the car or the engine. Probably 30 years and 100-200k miles. The PO assured me the engine was rebuilt at some time, which I believe judging by the number of missing fasteners and other signs of tampering. However, I don't think they touched the MFI system at all.
