Palo Alto Speedometer, CA

Hello,

I send emails to palo alto speedometer. But there is no response so far. This is somehow sad, because I just want to BUY something (speedometers).

Are they not interested in new costumers ?

Anybody here who has some experience with their refurbished speedometers ?

Or: Could anybody recommend a source/vendor for KM-Tachos ?

Ron

I have used them before for Speedo conversion. They do great work. Have you tried their website or calling them? Sometimes small companies don't always check their email or it may have changed. They have a fairly detailed web site.

Ehm, I need another refurbished speedometer (atleast one) and I don't want them to overhaul one. Palo Alto speedometer had some interesting offers.

But there is no response. I thought some pelican-guy knows someone there...

Agree with the North Hollywood recommendation; I've used Palo Alto and been dissatisfied.

speedo rebuild....

I have used both North Hollywood and Palo Alto. They are like day and night. I once sent a speedo to P A and they had it three times longer than they said they would. When I got it back they had not done ANY of the detail items I had listed on a ticket I had sent in/attached to the unit. My opinion? I'd NEVER use them again. North Hollywood was just the opposite. I sent in a similar request to them with a gage needing special attention and they were FASTER at getting the work done than they said they would be AND they went the extra mile in doing the detail work. My gage came back in PERFECT show condition. I will only use them on my restorations for P cars now.

+1 on NH Speedo. They did mine, which came out very nicely. Great customer service & rebuild / re-face quality.

Another plus for N. Hollywood and minus for Palo Alto. Horrible customer service, unreturned phone calls, etc. Lots of testimonies on here to back this up...avoid them if possible.

+1 for North Hollywood.

I had a couple of speedos and tachs serviced / refurb'd by them and they were great. Fast and courteous too.

Ron, I have used North Hollywood Speedometer (NHS) to refurbish 2 sets of gauges for me.....they do great work plus the people there are great to deal with.

Link to North Hollywood Speedometer

The 1st set I had all five gauges for my 73 done in white and they have held up great for 15 years

When I decided to go back to stock black gauges, I bought a 2nd set of 5 gauges and sent them off the NHS to have them cleaned, speedo calibrated, tach intergrated with the signal from my cd box, and redline changed. They came back perfect and look like new.

I still got my white gauges because, even though are white, they still looked too good to spend money to change back to black.

Another +1 for North Hollywood Speedo. They've refurbished all my gauges. Great customer service and they warranty their work for 1 year.
