Interesting option for lt wt qtr windows
These look like an affordable alternative to the 911R copies that GT sells for ~$500.
More interesting than just flat. probably easy to DIY but if they were not perfect it would be really obvious and it might be difficult to do with out scratches? Products - Werks 11 http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1372213110.jpg Thoughts? too modern for our cars? Who will make me a set :-) |
Maybe I'm missing something. Lexan comes with protective sticky paper - use a router to add slots, buff the edges with jeweler's rouge... should be good to go?
|
I have never used a router? I wonder if laying it out so the spacing and angle was right on would be difficult? For the price its not worth messing with. I think I will try a set at some point and see how much rain comes in.
|
Dunno about the rain. But, routers are not hard to master (but can be intimidating) - they are incredibly useful though. And loud. I'd say just eyeball it and make some cardboard prototypes; maybe even mock it up in masonite or something. Then go balls deep...
Put some yellow tint on there for street cred, lol... |
with or w/o vents $50= nice
|
Yeah, for $50 it's probably a good deal. But, if you DIY you could add some different, interesting vents - and, you'd learn how to make stuff like that. Learning to use a router+learning to work with plastics like Lexan and acrylic will add a lot your hot rod repertoire.
