Temp Gauge

My temp gauge is not working. I have pulled the wired off the sending unit to ground it and still no needle movement. I removed the gauge and checked the wiring. All is wired and it has power. What would be the best way to test the line to see if it has continuity to the gauge? Any other suggestions?
