i've only done this once, but i used:

passport transport
37 progress parkway
saint louis, MO 63043

800-325-4267 TN
314-878-7295 fax

i shipped a car from phoenix AZ to orange county CA. it cost approx. $500 and the car arrived on time, without damage.

Do NOT call the numbers in phone book. They are all brokers and they will rip your eyes out. I shipped a 914 to Boston with Prestow Towing (ask for Todd, he is the owner, good dude)616-226-9500. This guy was awesome, inexpensive due to not using broker, and frankly was a damn nice guy. What car are you shipping?
