![]() i have a 1987 911 with a carrera tail. The grid on the tail has fallen in about one half inch on the passenger side and a quarter inch on the driver's side., closest to the back of the car. I think the support for the grid has come off on the passenger side. How do i get into the tail to fix it? Do i have to remove the rubber lip? Do i have to remove the condenser and rear windshield wiper motor? All help would be appreciated. |

You need to remove/loosen and lower the rear condenser and the rear wiper motor/armature.
The screens are held in by either louvred metal panels or by thin brackets/pieces of angle stock. It isn't un common to have the tapping screws come loose from the fiberglass tail base. Be patient with the repair... Can be tough working upside down in a tight space. Cooper |
