Winter Proj - Suspension/brake refresh - had to share
yes, my winter project has now progressed into July but finally ready to start putting all the pieces together. Thanks to the many postings on this forum for helping me get this far.
I laid everything out the other day to make sure i had all the pieces and oh what a sight! My wife and kids could not understand the twinkle in my eye as I took in the beauty of all the rebuilt and new parts so I had to share my moment with someone who i thought might appreciate this spectacle a little more - this forum. Here is a partial listing of my project contributors thus far: - Refurbished original Fuchs and new rubber - Wheel Enhancement - rebuilt calipers, new rotors and brake lines - PMB Performance - PolyBronze bushings, low friction mounts, sway bar bushings, torsion bars, strut brace - Elephant Racing - Shocks and other misc. parts - Pelican Parts - All parts cleaned by American Metal Cleaning (Cincinnati) - a great, non-abrasive, alkaline solution cleaning process. They also powered coated control arms, struts, misc parts Yellow zinc plating by Smiths Electroplating (Cincinnati) It has been mostly a very fun and enjoyable process but could not have made it without this forum. Hopefully I can find the time to get it back together quicker than it has taken to get this far...... ![]() |

Congratulations. That is a great start. How about a pic of what it's all going into?

P2O sponsored by MORPCA is held in Granville Ohio the last weekend of the month. Any chance you'll have it ready to show? If not come out anyway, it will be a great event. Warren

Holy crow. You won't even get dirty from here on out on one of the dirtiest jobs you can tackle on these cars. Your car will thank you for this with many miles of enjoyable feedback. Nice job!

Looking great Klueh! That's extremely similar to what I did this winter on my '78 SC. You're going to love the results. Best of luck with the rebuild.
