best remedy for stripped insert ?

I have what seems to be a stripped insert in the body, it's the front sway bar attachment, 6mm bolt (8mm allen head) that goes thru the removeable splash guard under the steering rack.

What's the best fix for this ? I suppose could get a special oversize bolt turned as a last resort - has anyone else seen this problem and how did you resolve it ?

thanks for any insites

heli-coil or time-cert. Both allow you to add back threads that have been removed. Search here, google, youtube for a better explaination than I can give. Short version: you drill out hole, install heli-coil/time-cert, bolt part back to car. -J
