				Alternator Rebuilder in NJ?

Hey everyone, In my last forum topic (Another porsche with electrical problems), I determined that I have a faulty alternator. The alternator is from a 1980 Porsche 911 SC with the external regulator. Does anyone happen to know where I can get it rebuilt in the NJ area? Thanks

There's nothing "magic" about these alternators. Any reputable shop that rebuilds foreign car alternators can likely handle the job. HTH.

True, but there are very few shops in NY, NJ that actually do the work on site. I don't think either one of us are looking for Porsche specific builders, just someone who won't ship our Alts to god knows where and we get god knows what back! Not a hijack, more of a bump on this thread for both of us amateurs!
