US Grand Prix Seating Preferences
Can anyone recommend a good place to sit at the USGP? I'm trying to buy tickets, if I can find some decent seats. Thanks in advance,
Aubrey

Aubrey,
I went to the USGP two years ago. I was not particularly impressed with my seats on the main straight, inside of track, between pits and turn 1. Since I was able to view the track from everywhere and anywhere during the previous two days of practice and qualifying, I found that the grandstand seats at the end of the main straight on the outaide of the track just beyond turn 1 were excellent. I sat there for qualifying. You can see 7 turns and the jumbotron monitors are quite good there as well. Those seats were actually cheaper than the seats I had and much better view. I'll see if I can post the trackmap and a section.

I think I'll be in section G, don't know what to expect either.
My brother in law who bought the tickets said something about being able to drive your car on the track Aug 18 if you purchased tickets?? Anyone know anything about this? He was talking about using his little jap water pisser until I asked him if he wanted to go fast or not! Now I think he wants me to bring my E down for the ride, if the ride exists.

The Central Indiana Region of the Porsche Club of America has a bloc of seats in Grandstand H (outside of Indy car turn 4 - F1 turn 1) super seats. I have sat there for both F1 races and will be there again this year. The latest word is there are some tickets left through CIR/PCA. Contact: Bob Snider (leave message) 1-765-282-7985. Hope this helps.
