baby oil to the rescue
man what a day. 3 hrs to get a feaking speedo out!
thank goodness the tach was not all the way in. i did not want to mess up the leather on the dash so i drenched the top of the tach in baby oil and finally managed to get the tach out. even with that out, the speedo was still tough to get it. i drenched the left side of it with baby oil and it finally broke free. the seals on them were fairly new so that made it really hard. i have used skin so soft for things like this and it has worked well but did it have any. another trick i figured out today was with those round spring clips that go on the vent plastic behind the dash. compress the spring and slip a 5mm socket just over the ends. then put the clip on and pull the socket off
