I installed a new cable but the clutch pedal is now too low...too far forward compared to the brake pedal. Should I reduce the cable length? What controls the location where the pedal rests?

Look at the Pelican article for clutch adjustment and it will tell you the mounting bolts that have to be loosened to adjust the cable overall length
