Fuel gauge wiring help
Can anyone pull-out their fuel gauge and let me know what color is the wire that goes to the low fuel light?
My car is a 78 930 - so a 74 to a 79 should be the same - maybe the 80s too. I am doing a total hot rod renovation to my car and the previous owner had the wiring screwed up. Just got the gauges back from No. Hollywood Speedo for the LED conversion, clean up and just checked out for working condition. I do have a wiring diagram - but some of it doesn't seem to make sense. Thanks in advance, Mark

According to Bentley SC (1978- 1983) the wire that goes to the low/reserve fuel light is black.

Thanks, much appreciated.
Black - f'n great. Good luck on finding this one in the mass of wires. I was hoping is was white with a green stripe or purple or something odd - of course it had to be black

It should be fairly easy to find if the OEM connection hasn't been messed with too much. All three wires (which included the black) were run together in the same wire sleeve from the sender plug to the firewall. The sleeve also contains one green for the sender and a brown for the ground.
