911SC timing light?

Hey all, I have an '83 SC that I would like to buy a good timing light for. I just can't seem to FORCE myself to walk into autozone to buy some made in China Schitt that sells on the basis of its bells and whistles. First, which kind should I get, dial or digital, inductive, advance?? Not sure exactly what all this means.
Second, what brand? I've found positive comments online about MSD and Ferret, but want to get a feel for what all you guys use/like...

You are going to have to force yourself. Not much made in the US anymore.

Get an inductive one since it is easier. Advance auto has Ferret but they are expensive.

I say buy a cheap one with a warranty.

Buy Ferret Instruments Tach Advance Timing Light FER84 at Advance Auto Parts

Last one I bought was an Actron and I got it from Amazon. Seems to do the trick. Don't waste your money on one that has a dwell meter built in. You need an old school analog dwell meter with a needle for these cars.

Used Snap-On Timing Light

I felt the same when I decided to buy a timing light for my SC. I ended up buying a used Snap-On light for ~$75 from E-bay. Great tool.

Mine is similar to this one, possibly the same model:

Snap on Snap on Model MT1261A Timing Light in Case Used | eBay

(I'm not associated with the e-bay auction - just a point out to what looks like a good light/possibly good price if the bidding stays reasonable).

Good luck,
Gordo
