Nor Cal Sunday Drive
SUNDAY $40 % chance of rain .... Sat 0% chance ....
Move to saturday ???? Have spoken with a few and seems to be that time of the year .... So a Sunday drive thru the hills is deemed necessary ..... The date for the drive will be Sunday March 13th .... The route will be one that was ran and enjoyed by a few in February .... Meeting place is 1650 North Livermore Avenue Livermore, CA 94551 right off 580 at Livermore ave and a block or so south .... Jack in the box if your hungry and Chevron if you need techron ......... Meet up in the parking about 8 am and leave about 830 ..... Don't forget the clocks change on Saturday ... they spring ahead ... The route runs Mines road south to hwy 130 cut over Mt Hamilton then a quick run up Calaveras past the reservoir and out at Hwy 680/84 ... Took about 3hrs total last time with a few a stops in to stretch and socialize .... Interested parties please post here and /or PM and i will send my phone number and look forward to another great Nor Cal drive ...... Already have three on the list and hope others to join in .... It's still a ways off, but the weather channel app shows rain for March 13th. I hope it clears out.

Easily one of the best roads for driving in California. The east side of Mt Hamilton is a classic twisty white knuckle drive, 5 stars minimum! The west side is more of a rally or supercross style of road, not as nicely maintained, but enjoyable in its own right. Gotta work, so that is another fun one missed, dang! eric

Hi Steve. My Weather.com App is still showing partly cloudy. Rain on Monday. Where are you seeing rain? If we need to change the date, then we need to change the date. Plus will have plenty of days coming.

I think rain is coming in later in the day on Sunday, if at all. Either way. Saturday works for me too. I hate driving in the rain...

checking MSN for weather and NOAH for forcasted ....
looks like saturday will be a better day for it ..... A lot of people don't like to drive in the rain .. let alone hard in the rain .. Lets leave this one for saturday ....... We can also look at doing another in the end of the month or first part of april ,,, maybe we can plan on 35/9 or Alex has a great route up to the north around Lake Berriesa .... Have a few confirms for saturday .... If any one else want please come on down Saturday 8 am at livermore ave just south of 580 ... Jack in the Box Parking lot....... Steve Kipp can you push your steam clean to about 10 ...?? |
