brake pad question - 72 911 T - M caliper

Just getting around to installing brake pads and the Super Brake Kit I bought a while ago from Pelican. Realized I received only one set of pads with the kit. (or misplaced a set in the garage which is very possible). The problem is I am having trouble figuring out which I need to buy to complete all four brakes.

I have one set (911-351-938-00-M49) by Jurid which seems to be discontinued. I don't know whether the set is for the front or rear, because the new pads on the site are 911-351-938-00-M168 by Mintex. The front and rear Mintex brakes have the same part number...

But the genuine Porsche pads have different part numbers between front and rear...

The Mintex are out of stock so I will be purchasing either Genuine Porsche or maybe Hawk but I don't know whether to buy front or rear.

Can anyone help clear this up?

Front and rear sets should be the same, unless the kits include hardware such as pins and spreaders. A set of pads should be 4 pads since the rule is to replace all front pads at the same time, and the same for the rear. The M designation on the part #'s you provide are probably pad compound related, and since they are from different manufacturers, one would expect them to be different.

Understood. Okay, if they are the same, that's good enough. Not sure why some have different numbers, but I won't worry about it.

I do have the retaining kit but just realized I only have one of those too. And the front and rear have the same part number... I'll get another of those.

Thanks for your help,
Matt
