80 sc pedal cluster rebuild

After too many hours I was able to get the rebuild pedal cluster back in the car.
The actual rebuild went just as everybody said it would. My problem now is that it seems like the position of the clutch clevis is interfering with the correct operation of the throttle cable. When the clutch pedal is depressed to shift gears, with the engine running the throttle cable does not want to return to idle position. Could something have gotten screwed up in reinstallation procedure? Should I adjust the position of the cable to pedal assembly? Thanks. Beany

You need to make sire cables are not crossed, then look at adjusting your linkage points for the gas and clutch cable on the cluseter. Should just need some minor adjustments. The hard part is the very small space to work within to adjust
