color question
 

i looked at an euro 85 cab today with an interesting color i would like to know name of. it was a dark metallic blue with hints of purple. interior and top was blue. can some one please tell me name of color. owner said it was original but didn't know color. thanks, gary

Baltic Blue, Pacific Blue, Prussian Blue come to mind.

The paint code will tell the exact color. If possible, have the seller look at the options tag for the code.

Ask the present owner to tell you the paint code. For 1985, the only "blues" were Dark Blue code 347, Iris Blue metallic 33P, and Prussian Blue metallic 33X. With that said, my car's color Burgundrot (Burgandy Red) is a factory color but not listed anywhere because it was only used for 2 years. This info I only recently found out and I have owned the car for 8 years.

Sounds just like you are describing my Prussian Blue '86. Blue in the shade, purple metallic shows when the sun hits it. Dark blue interior. Paint code should be 33X. Sticker can be found under the trunk carpet on the right side strut tower. -J
