Is this black piece of plastic on the rear fender removable?

This might be a dumb question but I see some cars with this piece and some without it. Is it removable?

Leave it. It's called the shark fin. It was put on by the factory to prevent stone chips.
I understand it can be removed carefully with a hairdryer and a light touch.
My TT has a clear one.

The stone guards are removable. However, there might be a slight difference in the color underneath (slightly darker) once its removed depending on how long it has been there. Fortunately, when I removed mine color underneath matches the rest. I guess it was installed by the PO recently before I took it out. All you need is a hair dryer and peel it off slowly. Hope this helps.
