3.2 oil breather hose? In car replacement?
Here's one several of you have to have some experience with,
The breather hose that runs from behind the air cleaner and down the right wheel well. Mine has had a small (but irritating) leak. It is all but impossible to get my hands back in there, much less do any wrenching. Pulling the intake manifolds and related bits seems like a lot of work for a small leak. I haven't asked my trusted wrench this question yet. To me the task seems daunting. Anybody know how this might be accomplished in a simpler manner? Thx

Which one? There's two.
Upper hose on oil tank neck runs to the back of the 90* boot between AFM and throttle body. There's a restrictor about an inch from the oil tank neck. Tight but you really shouldn't need to pull any parts. There is a guide that holds the two hoses. Remove it from the airbox and the airbox from the AFM and you can see/access everything. I suspect you are talking about the lower hose on the tank filler neck that runs up from the crankcase. More of a pain but I think still doable, but I like to work on my car. Probably looking at pulling the airbox/AFM/90* boot. That would clear up some room but the hose still terminates just behind and under the throttle body. How good are you at working by with a mirror and by feel? A partial engine drop (rear only) would net you a few extra inches room to get back behind the throttle body. -J

pull the AFM and filter box to aid access. The orientation of the hose clamp on the breather cover is the only variable. If you can get to easily the job is pretty quick and simple.

I jut did this twice when I had to pull the motor twice due to press plate bolts being too long.
Easy with the AFM, air box, and 90* boot out. Stick a flash light in there to help se the slot style screw clamp. About 5 min with all the stuff out off the way.

Like Jeff says ...with the AFM anf filter box removed it should be a breeze !
I had to do it last year as i was black flagged due to the breather hose cracking at the clamp and spewing oil on the exaust which made it look like a James Bond getaway smoke screen,i ended up cutting off three inches and reclamping it for the rest of the weekend ... Cheers Phil
