power seat question

I got my '85 930 driver's seat back from upholstry and the adjustment for the back is not working to move it forward and back. I hear the motor running but no movement. Any suggestions before I return it to the shop. It is a hike to take it back.

sounds like one of the drive shafts is missing or damaged.

i think so, but you would have to take the seat out of the car at a minimum.

I believe the motor that adjust the seat back is the one at the rear, check the cable fitting on it..I had to "secure" mine with a band of JB weld
