915 Shift Knob

Hi All -

I just received the "replica" 915 shift knob that I ordered. Looks pretty nice, feels sturdy, but I noticed that the shift pattern (bezel?) rotates freely. It does not fall out if I tip it over, but it will spin in place. Is this normal, or is it a design flaw in this replica?

Thanks!

I would return it to the seller. Did you buy it from Pelican?

Nope, a couple of weeks ago when was searching for one, Pelican indicated they no longer carried them. Now it looks like they are just showing "out of stock". Don't know if that means they can get them again. I may give that a try and return the "spinner" model.

Thanks!

it's a poor man's theft deterrent system. when you park the car turn it sideways - the thief won't get anywhere!
