Need help with 1971 911T parts to correct car accessories

I am replacing a few parts on my 1971 911T and need some assistance.

Will the Durant exterior mirror work on both the drivers and passenger door or do I need a specific mirror for each door?

What color were the bars on the hood crest? Orange or red. Would a new genuine Porsche crest be a good one to install on the car? My current crest has a large ding.

Which radio came with the 440 option code ANtenna Left with Loudspeaker and noise suppression?

Was the 470 Comfort Equipment Option the same in 1971 and 1972?

Where is the best place to order the correct carpet?

Where is the best place to order the correct 21 Brown Leatherette seat covers?

Trying to make this car as "correct" as possible.

Thanks for all the help!

Mirror will work on both sides, but you must mount the passenger side mirror further back and higher on the door--do not use the holes found in the dog leg like the driver's side.

Where is the best place to order the correct carpet? You can try this site. Others will add shops that you can contact.

Hello Robert:

I have a few answers.

1) The replacement Durant mirror (1965 - 1971) can be mounted on either side.

2) Check the web site 911t.pca.org/options for the offficial Porsche Document for 1970T options and accessories. It doesn't assess some items, such as sway bars and driving lights. It is reasonable to assume that 70 and 71 options are probably identical.

3)There is a site that has more information than you can possibly digest regarding hood badge originality. Its http://www.porscheresource.com/articles/Badge Identification.html

4) Do a search under my ID (Allen_70S) for a post I updated earlier this year which delineates differences between the 70 and 71 911, and T Vs. E Vs. S. I don't remember the exact title , but it should be obvious.

Join Early 911S Registry and all your questions will be answered. They are a great bunch and have a great magazine too. Not just for S cars but any long hood. early911sregistry.org.

I found Dr. B. Johnson's book "911 $ 912 Porsche, A Restorer's Guide" a good source for information on 911s up to 1973.
