One more plug to go (identify ;-)
The engine of my '80 SC runs great now and is bone dry outside after replacing all rubber parts, seals and gaskets. After plugging the hose from the charcoal canister to the air box, the system is now absolutely leak free!!! However, I still need to install the axles before I can drive her, but I need one more CV joint boot.
Anyway, there is one plug from the main engine harness for which I have no idea were it connects to. It is a two wire female plug. Any ideas? Thanks, Manfred http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1375340552.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1375340581.jpg |
if you have a thermo-time switch between #2 and #3 intake runner, it goes there. if not, it isn't used and is usually found taped to the loom.

I didn't know one could have a second thermo time switch. I only have the one on the timing chain cover at the left engine rear that controls the cold start valve. I will tape the plug to the harness and forget about it. Thanks, Manfred |
Yep, tape it and forget it after '79.... :)
Just happen to be building a similar year harness for someone, I delete that wiring and connector for your year of car as it is not needed and is always energized. (So tape it off well) Mine looks a little different than the one you are working with! (Probably just the Permatune wiring adapter for the CDI...) :) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1375424404.jpg |
