Porsche Drive CT/NY 8/10/13

I am doing a Porsche Drive for the CT Vally region Porsche club 8/10/13, 8:30am off by 9am, Burger King 1058 High Ridge Rd, Stamford, CT 06905. It is about 70 miles and there is a morning stop and lunch stop, we average 30 cars a run so I hope all can make it. I have 2 more scheduled after this one. Every one will have to sign a Porsche club release.

Do you know the route yet? I'd love to join you but a time crunch may mean having to bail at the halfway point. -- Matt

Every one is given a set of direction at the start, you can peal off any time you want, I have some great roads set for this one (as all my runs) 10/5/13 will be to Bear mountain and one of my best routes, hope you make it

JC, I will not be able to attend this time which is a bummer as the last run was a ton of fun.

Keep us all posted on the other runs you mentioned, I have a few other non-pelicans but serious p-car enthusiasts who are interested.

I used to live by the Westchester side of the Bear Mountain Bridge. There are a lot of great roads around the Bridge. As you come over the Bridge into Westchester, if you bear right, you'll hit some great S turns. The locals call that road the "goat trail". However, it is usually very crowded with motorcycles that spend the day going up and down. If you bear left when you come over the Bridge into Westchester, the roads are very scenic, but no S turns.

I now live in Northern Jersey. My son wants to drive over to Bear Mountain this morning, and plan to drive on Seven Lakes Drive. A fun and scenic route.

Can you post your planned route? I'd like to meet up with you guys on August 10, near Bear Mountain.

Unfortunately I will not be in for this one, I may send my brother along with the 944 though.

Regards
Dave
