Hi,
I've just decided reset my ride stiffness to a more road friendly setting. The history of the car is a bit vague, so I probably need to establish some datums. First off I am tackling the front torsion bar squeak, by adding a bead of weld to the base edge of the torsion bar end caps. The trial fit is good and has eliminated all the play. Thanks to this forum for pointing me in the right direction, and for recommending the cure. All the rest of the suspension components are pretty much new, including bushes and ball joints, and turbo tie rods, etc. Next, job is to return the Koni gas shocks to a comfortable road setting. I don't race the car, but I believe the previous owner did some auto cross and may have set the shocks to a stiffer than normal setting. Question is how do I reset them to normal? For identification purposes I have attached some pictures. Advice would be much appreciated. Regards Mark Bradbury 1983 911 SC |
