Should I Really Use Lithium Grease on Pedal Assembly?
After months of getting everything lined up on my pedal assembly (powdercoat, springs, new shaft, etc). I am putting it together this weekend, but I think I read in Wayne's book that he used Lithium grease. I am figuring that out of all the parts in this car that gets pretty sandy or gritty it's the pedal assembly, and thought that maybe light oil might be better than the Lithium grease that will attract grit, dirt, moisture and everythingthing else. Was wondering what you guys use or used on it for assembly.

Copper based never seize.

clear grease from Wurth would perfect, with white grease as 2nd choice, since the mess if any gets elsewhere will be limited; anti-seize will work but can make a huge mess
grease will stay there, but oil will run out grit will eventually grind away at the moving parts so replace them every few centuries |
