I just bought from you a set of spark plugs for my 73.5 911T. They appear to be the only ones that you identify for the 73.5. I have been used to copper tips, and hear people say negative things about platinum plugs for older cars. My question though is about spark plug gap. These came wider than what the factory said in 1973. Bosch's website says the plugs come pre-gapped for the application. However, I kind of find it hard to believe that Bosch made these plugs for the 1973.5 911T! Can you confirm what I should do about gap?

Most plugs today do come pregapped. If you do not trust this, you could measure the gap yourself and adjust if needed.

Always check the gap before install and your right about the platinums. Stick with the copper.
Now the big question is whether to use anti-sieze on the plugs. Thats always a big issue here between those who use it and those who do not.

Only an issue for those who don't trust the factory technical bulletins.

Good one Dave!

Porsche mech told me that when setting the gap, ground electrode should be made perpendicular to the center electrode --- this extends plug life and adds a touch more HP.
