Porsche side script?
Is it ok to put a Porsche side script on a 85 Carrera?
It seems those scripts were meant for earlier models I wouldn't want to mix different eras. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD |
it shouldn't matter as long as you like it.
|
I did it (cross over) on my 86. I know its not period correct but I just like to have a different look and I intend to put on a duck so I guess it would complement it further.

There are no rules...whatever you think looks good...Tim

Period incorrect, but I like the duck/decal combo. |
HAS to be a long hood or we sick the IRS on you! Would be just a small fine if you are a dem......jail if tea party.
Death penalty if you put it on a Targa!! |

I just put a script on the side of my 85....looks good to me. Like others have said, if you like it, do it. Scripts supplied by Mike Z - aka JoeBob.
ps. Mike, I'll send you some better pics when I'm able. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1376658462.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1376658476.jpg |

He overheard someone ask if it was an Alfa. He supposedly dictated that from then on every race car would have the name prominently displayed on the sides. It became a production car option after that. Or so I heard :) |
Were any 911's shipped/sold simply with the Porsche side strip or was it just the Carrera model?
|
Definitely looks better on the older cars. The Carrera script looks better on the newer models.
|
I have one old one (1966) and one new one... Both have the Porsche script, and to my eyes, that's just how they should be... ;)
Do whatever suits you, it's a question of personal preference. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1376690925.jpg |
