SC seat belt is short

The seat belt in the SC I got last year is quit short. I'm OK with it since I have the seat all the way back. However, my wife is shorter and need to move the seat much further to the front, and with the seat that far forward the belt doesn't have much additional play, so almost like a fixed belt.

I don't have this issue in the 944 or Boxster, or any other car we have.

Did anybody had the same issue? and if is there a good after marked replacement which has a longer belt ?

Thanks for any feedback !
Engelbert

Seatbelt

The easiest way is to simply get a 12" seatbelt extension from your local auto parts store. I have the same problem ( though it's my size rather than the seatbelt), and the extension took care of it just fine. I also purchased one of those seatbelt collars that are made for the neck chafing, and use that to hide the fastener where the belt is attached to the original one.

There are some outfits that can fit longer belt webbing into your retractors, but they probably won't retract all the way as the space inside the mechanism is limited.
