				Need Venturi tube help

I'm in the process of refreshing the intake/ fuel system on the 911 and had the venturi tube separate. Nothing appears to be broken and the black nozzle piece simple slides back into place. In the first picture below, the black nozzle piece is in place and the second picture shows the piece pulling apart.

First ![]() Second ![]() Can I glue the piece back together? I was thinking of glueing at the base of the nozzle. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I have the same setup and my venturi tube simply pulls out, then slips back in. No glue, just stays - I think that's the norm. Is your separating on its own? Quite the clean engine by the way - wish mine was that clean. Pat

No, it takes a little effort to separate. It is just worrisome that the piece can be pulled out easily when everything else is clamped into place. I cannot see how the piece stays sealed without adhesive or a clamp?

So this is my setup - very similar for what I can see (less the cleanliness of course).

I'm thinking it could be as simple as air pressure / suction as the connections run the the manifold as well as the rear of the intake boot.

				venturi...

yes, there should be a clamp to hold it tight...I examined my 1987 carrera, this area was never touched since car was manufactured and there is a clamp holding it together...
