This isn't stock, is it?

Hey everyone,

Went to install the Griffiths (Kuehl) lower center vent today, and came face to face with a rats nest of wiring. Pulled out the radio, cut back all wiring to factory leads, and in the process removed an accessory 12v socket, a 9V DC charger, and a ground (on a screw, in a plastic housing, no less).

Anyways, I'm chasing down the remaining issues of "is it stock," and have an inkling that this is not.

To clarify, I'm speaking of that toggle switch and the red button style 'cap' immediately below it. Just need someone to confirm. A lot of searching on Google and here at Pelican has not turned up anything.

Thanks,
Matthew

Absolutely not stock. If your car has got auto heat, that's where the cabin temperature sensor (a small grille through which air is sucked down to the sensor, actually) belongs. Cars without auto heat have a pre-punched (but closed) hole there.

Not stock. An earlier 911 I bought had a similar switch that controlled the wipers. Seems a po couldn't figure out how to fix the wiper switch, so that was his solution.

Thanks again everyone. I do appreciate your help. I have just pulled the wiring (neither end was connected to anything) , and will figure out how to pull the switch assembly shortly.

Maybe PO was thinking of stealth ignition kill switch! That's where I was thinking of putting one, but no need for indicator light!
