Need Help w/ Part ID#, Please

Looking through the PET hasn't helped me much. I'm looking for the rubber seal that belongs here: Just would like to confirm and get it right the first time. Would it be 911-503-085-05-M260, or am I just pissing in the wind again? Thanks to all.

Ran your number, but it doesn't return in Pelican. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by "devious seal". You might need to spell it out for me in crayon.

My copy of the PET (update 203--22.08.2006) shows that seal as 911.503.085.05. Here's the shot, its part #37. Dave

Dave, that's the part I was originally looking at in the PET, which describes it as "rear bumper / body seal", which didn't sound quite right to me. So I did another search for "deck lid seal" which returned part #911-512-129-01-M100. Both the pictures of the parts are horrible, and I've never had this seal since I've owned the car. Just a little clarification is what I need. Thanks for responding, your help is greatly appreciated.

I think the correct part number is 911-512-129-01-M100. It's called Engine Lid Seal, and is item #30 on this page. On the Notes tab for that P/N, it says, "This is the seal that mates the bottom of the engine lid to the body."

yeah, I'm gonna go with 911-512-129-01-M100 (engine lid seal). 47silver, thanks for the recommendation on the "devious seal", LOL. My phone auto-corrects my stuff all the time, I think my buddies must think I hit the bong way too much. BTW, your number is correct for up to 1986. I have an '88...probably should have posted that...goddam bong. Thanks for the help to everybody that responded.
