Webber question – tuning success

Spent an enjoyable couple of hours tuning my carbs last night – to get rid of a rough and hunting idle. Very happy with the result and I’m now feeling very comfortable working on these.

My question: Whilst synchronising I noticed I had backed one of the air bleed screws out to its limit to get the right balance. All the screws appear to be a fair way out. Is there a starting point for one of the carbs to use as a base for the others? Ie. Should one of the screws be say X number of turns out and the others carbs balanced to match?
Thanks in advance

Regards,

The air bleed screws are supposed to be in all the way to start. You set the carbs up with them all turned in and then open up the ones on the low flowing cylinders (at idle).

Thanks for the tip.
