Hello, I have a few questions regarding my recently aquired 1971 - 911T. I'm trying to verify is the numbers are "matching" on this car but am not sure where to look?
The VIN is 91111202xx (not really xx). The motor number on the upright portion of the casting is 6114028 and the 911/07 on the horizontail part of the case. The transmission is stamped 7110759 - the 911/01. Do these look like the correct #'s for this vehicle? I am also curious if it is worthwhile to pay to have the car documented through the Porsche Registry? Thanks in advance for any help! |

VIN 91111202xx decodes to a 1971 911 T Karmann coupe, number 2xx built.
Engine number 6114028 decodes to a 1971 T engine, the 4 indicating a US T model engine. Engine type 911/07 decodes to US version T targa and coupe engines. All numbers are consistent with a numbers matching chassis/engine but you cannot know for sure if that engine went into that chassis without the COA from Porsche.
