Any northern UK board members?

Hello UK Porsche drivers

I've been a lurker on this board for some time, and it's seriously fueled my appetite for a Pcar, (ever since I missed my last oppt for one)

I'm presently living in Europe, and looking for a US spec 87-89 3.2. (so I can take it back to the states with me when I return) I've found one, an 88 targa, but trouble is it is in Newcastle. I live in So France, and unfortunately can't make time to travel North in the near term, just to look at a car. (if I choose to buy it, I'll have to ofcourse)

I'm hoping there's someone there that can give a passing lookover at the car and tell me if it's good enough to go to the next stage (thorough inspection)

Also, if you can help me contact the Northern UK Porsche owners club, or point me to an independent in the area that could do an inspection, I would also appreciate it.
